Woman sells new born baby for 100,000,an abakaliki magistrate court has remanded a two month old baby alongside his mother, (Chiyene Inya(34) father(Bernard Inya(42) and a relative (Ugonma Egwu (38) in abakaliki federal prisons over the alleged murder of one Silvia Nwachi.
The accused person’s all natives of Ezi Nwachi Ndibe in AFIKPO North Local council of Ebonyi state,committed the act on October 26,this year they were charged on a two court charge of murder punishable under section 324 of the criminal code law,cap 33 vol.1 law of Ebonyi state of Nigeria 2009.the trial magistrate, Nnachi Olughu ordered that the accused Persons remanded in prison custody while the court processes should be forwarded to the directorate of public prosecution for appropriate legal advice. He,therefore adjourned the matter till January 20 2017.
Meanwhile the Ebonyi state police command yesterday arraigned a 37 year old woman Blessing Prince (a.k.a mummy B) for allegedly selling a new born baby belonging to a 20 year old man Ifeanyichukwu Elem, at the sum of 100,000 at the trail in the federal high court 2. Abakaliki, Blessing who was rearrested after being released by the police, was arraigned on a two court charge of dealing in child trafficking and selling a four day old baby.
In charge No FHC/AI/H/2016 The accused pleaded not guilty.The trail Judge Justice Akintayo Aluko,granted her bail with sum of 2million in like sum with a surety, who must be a civil servant of not less than level 10 Justice Aluko ordered that the accused be remmanded In prison custody if she did not fulfiil the bail and adjourned the matter to December 5 2016 for trail.
